HON. DR. PADDY IYAMU, HONOURABLE COMMISSIONER FOR EDUCATION, EDO STATE, VISITS EDO STATE COLLEGE OF HEALTH SCIENCES AND TECHNOLOGY, BENIN CITY
Today, the 8th of February, 2025, the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Dr. Paddy Iyamu, paid a working visit to the Edo State College of Health Sciences and Technology, Benin City.
The Honourable Commissioner and his entourage were warmly received by the Provost of the College, Dr. Moyo Kasim, alongside other principal officers of the institution.
Upon arrival, Dr. Iyamu was ushered into the Provost’s Office for an interactive session with the College Management. During the session, Dr. Kasim provided a concise historical overview of the College, its vision, and its mandates. He also highlighted key ongoing projects yet to be completed, including the Auditorium, SUG Building, Security House, Facility Building, and Hostel D.
In his response, the Honourable Commissioner emphasized that the administration of Senator Monday Okpebholo is committed to practical governance and result-oriented leadership. He assured the Management that he would brief the Governor on the pressing challenges faced by the College.
Following the meeting, the Commissioner and his team embarked on a campus tour to inspect the College’s facilities firsthand. During the tour, Dr. Iyamu visited several classrooms and engaged directly with students. He commended them for their foresight in choosing EDOCOHEST as their preferred institution for health education and encouraged them to align their vision with actionable strategies, reminding them that “no vision works without strategy.”
The students, thrilled by the Honourable Commissioner’s presence and interaction, expressed their appreciation through enthusiastic applause and kind words. They also lauded the commitment of Senator Monday Okpebholo’s administration to educational development.

The visit was concluded with a group photograph featuring the Honourable Commissioner, the Provost and other members of the Management team of the College.
It was indeed a memorable and impactful visit for all stakeholders of the Edo State College of Health Sciences and Technology.
